If you want to experience a magic of autumn in Amsterdam I would definitely recommend to visit this city in the second half of October or early November when leaves are beautifully coloured and they literally frame views of canals.

You can feel a smell of leaves and coffee everywhere and terraces are full of heaters- certainly you wouldn’t be cold while sipping drinks. I love to browse around channels with my coffee in hands and discover new narrow streets and beautiful facades of canal houses.

Amsterdam is distinguished as not a noisy city. Of course, there are exceptions, such as large squares full of tourists or shopping streets. However, in the canal streets of neighbourhood ‘Jordaan’ and ‘The 9 Streets’ you can hear only the bells of bicycles and discover beautiful shops and cafes.

I would recommend another great attraction in the autumn- it  is a boat trip on the canals. This is only worthy  when it’s not raining. In nice weather you enjoy a view of the canal houses and you can take very nice photos.

If you happen to visit Amsterdam in the autumn, pack your woolen scarf and hat, favorite warm shoes and take a walk around this beautiful city.

Have a nice weekend everyone!
